Clearwire, Sprint and Time Warner announced Monday their plans to release their respective 4G mobile internet services to New York City later this year. The services will be featured under the companies' own 4G brands and are expected to provide broader service options to New York, where they have been in demand for some time.

New York City will begin service on November 1, paving the way for additional network expansions and a broad range of marketing initiatives. For entrepreneurs and small business owners looking to launch an LLC in New York, the news of the long-awaited internet service product comes as a welcomed relief.

PC World reported last month that Spring had been testing service in San Francisco with decent success. New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco will the first cities to receive the 4G service this Fall, with hopes for expansion into other cities coming later this year.

The 4G technology, which has been in planning or developmental stages since 2002, will significantly broaden access ranges of wireless service. Currently, wireless networks are measured in distances of feet, but new 4G networks will expand the potential range to miles, allowing for increased mobility and productivity for businesses and consumers.
