Young New York City women entrepreneurs may receive a boost in confidence following Friday’s Girls Going Places Entrepreneurship conference presented by Guardian Life Insurance and Wealth Advisory Group.

More than 100 teenage girls from New York City area schools will receive mentoring and advice from accomplished female entrepreneurs and business owners. The conference seeks to help young women become better able to launch an LLC or entrepreneurial venture.

“This conference allows business women of all ages to collaborate and share ideas,” said Howard J. Elias, Chairman and CEO of Wealth Advisory Group. “We are proud to host these young women and showcase their talent to the community. This is a great opportunity for girls to learn the true value of business ownership.”

The conference is part of an ongoing interest in small business productivity on behalf of Guardian Life Insurance. In September, the company’s Small Business Research Institute surveyed 1,200 small business owners and found that 51 percent expect higher revenues for 2010 over 2009. Friday’s entrepreneurship conference will address today’s small business climate.
