Success in business means being a leader of a team, and leadership skills are critical for entrepreneurs who are going to form an LLC in Arizona, according to experienced business owner Marty Zwilling.
Writing at the Huffington Post, Zwilling notes that there is much more to being an effective entrepreneur than having a superior product and marketing it to the right customers.
"Don''t assume that success as an entrepreneur is only about great presentations, killing competitors or having insanely great ideas," he says. "It''s really more about leadership, understanding the needs of your prospective clients, and communicating your solutions with clarity."
One critical leadership skill is quick and effective decision making. Employees will see and imitate this skill, so entrepreneurs need to rely more on facts instead of their gut, says Zwilling.
He also notes that having a vision isn''t enough - a true leader needs to share with the entire team so that each member knows the role he or she will play.
Setting aside specific time for employees to share their ideas about how to improve business operations is one way to assure that everyone on the team is on the same page.
