The ADP National Employment Report was released Wednesday, finding private sector employment grew by 201,000 from February to March.

According to the study, as much as 102,000 of these new jobs were in the small business sector, which bodes well for entrepreneurs looking to incorporate in New York.

Split between goods and services, 164,000 of the jobs created in March were in the service-providing sector.

"Today's ADP National Employment Report confirms that U.S. private sector employment growth has averaged about 175,000 jobs over the last six months. I am encouraged that job growth in the first quarter of 2011 has shown considerable improvement compared to the last quarter of 2010," said Gary C. Butler, president and CEO of ADP.

The report came as a breath of fresh air for economists still unsure what to make of a slew of surveys released this week, including one by Discover, which found confidence among small businesses slipped to a three-month low in March, while Intuit reported Tuesday that hiring by small firms actually grew this month.

Despite March's employment figures being somewhat lower than February's, the study continues a positive trend for the economy.
