Solar energy entrepreneurs and small business owners looking to launch an LLC in Texas may have something to look forward to with next week's Texas Renewables 2010 conference. To be held November 7 - 10 in San Antonio, the conference will seek to attract attention and investment in the Lone Star state's renewable energy industry.

San Antonio Regional Director of Business Development Shelby Ruff will be one of more than 50 speakers at the conference. "Solar Power in San Antonio is on the path to help put Texas on the national map," said Ruff in a statement.

Solar energy is rapidly becoming one of the dominant sectors of the growing U.S. renewable energy industry. According to a recent survey by the Solar Foundation, the industry employs approximately 93,000 workers. Over the next 12 months, the survey reports, 50 percent of solar energy businesses plan to hire, while only two percent do not.

With Tuesday's defeat of Proposition 23 in California, renewable energy ventures are expected to grow further. Although California remains the dominant state for renewable energy enterprises, Texas is hoping its low taxes and limited regulatory system will allow the state to compete with its west coast rival.
